GALESBURG, Ill. – A rural Knox County resident has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging, among other things, she had a dead body in a storage locker.
Marcy Oglesby, 50, pleaded not guilty in Knox County Circuit Court Monday afternoon to Concealment of a Death, along with counts of Forgery and Possession of a Weapon Without a Valid FOID Card.
She was arrested October 11th — four days after sheriffs deputies were called to a storage facility in Maquon on a complaint of a suspicious odor.
Oglesby allegedly claimed it was because of a dead opossum, but when a large box was opened, the body was discovered.
Positive identification of the body reportedly still hasn’t been made.
Oglesby will be back in court Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. on a motion to reduce her $10,000 bond.
