BARTONVILLE, Ill. – A Bartonville volunteer firefighter is on probation after allegedly drinking before driving a fire truck to a call.
That’s according to 25 News, who reports on a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the incident allegedly involving Caden Davis, 20.
Davis reportedly told police that on February 20, he had “a sip” of alcohol at a local restaurant earlier in the day before responding to a call of an unresponsive child.
But fellow firefighters told police Davis admitted to having “several” drinks, and wasn’t acting himself that night.
The city says Davis is on six months’ probation. But, Davis tells 25 News the information they received on the incident is false, that there was no investigation, and no illegal activity.
