PEORIA, Ill. – New charges have been filed against a Peoria man charged in a street racing incident that claimed the life of a Peoria woman.
Court records indicate counts of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence have been filed against Darien Davis, 31.
Davis already faced Aggravated Street Racing and Reckless Homicide charges for the September 4th crash near Sterling and Gale Avenues.
Jacqueline McDuffie, 50, died several weeks after the crash in a local hospital.
Documents allege Davis had three different drugs in his system at the time, including cocaine.
He’s jailed on $1 million bond and is scheduled for a new arraignment on January 6th.
