PEORIA, Ill. – The back of a semi trailer in front of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, near the intersection with Liberty St., was on fire following an accident Friday afternoon.
Peoria Polilce and Fire crews were on scene just after 2 p.m. near Washington and Liberty in front of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, after officials say a semi struck a motorcycle, dragging it for two to three blocks before the driver realized what happened.
Then, the fire broke out in the back of the otherwise empty tractor-trailer.
A part of Washington downtown was closed to traffic for a time.
There were no injuries, but both the tractor-trailer and the motorcycle suffered damage.

PEORIA, Ill. – The back of a semi trailer in front of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, near the intersection with Liberty St., caught fire.
Peoria Police and fire crews have been on scene since just after 2 p.m. Friday near Washington and Liberty, after some sort of an accident between a semi and a motorcycle.
Police say the trailer was empty when it caught fire.
Washington St. between Main and Edmund was closed to traffic, but has since been reopened.
