Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley has identified the body as that of 42-year-old Phillip Winger.
Pekin Police and Illinois State Police had issued an Endangered Missing Person Advisory on Friday for Winger, who had last been seen Thursday morning at his residence on the northside of Pekin.
The advisory noted Winger had underlying medical issues and was not believed to have his related medication with him.
Hanley said an autopsy was scheduled for Monday at 9 A.M., but no foul play was suspected.

PEKIN, Ill. — Investigators continued Saturday morning to look into the case of a body found Friday night near the Illinois River.
The body was found around 7:30 on a trail near Lick Creek.
Pekin Police and other authorities responded to the scene.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley told WMBD News a news release would be put out sometime Saturday afternoon with victim’s identity and cause of death.
He confirmed the deceased’s next of kin had been notified, but his office was compiling a few pieces of information before it would make any information public.
