UPDATE 3:45 P.M. — Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the driver as 55-year-old Kenneth J. Musgrave, of Elmwood.
According to Harwood, Musgrave showed no signs of trauma, signifying a likely medical event which caused him to leave the roadway.

ELMWOOD, Ill. — One man is dead after a crash in rural Peoria County.
According to Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell, a call came in around 5:45 a.m. Monday on a single-vehicle accident in the area of Graham Chapel and Dogtown Roads in Elmwood.
A 55-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, went through the T-intersection and struck a powerline pole guide wire.
The wire pulled the pole down on top of the truck.
The man’s identity will be released by the Peoria County coroner once family notification has taken place.
The crash remains under investigation.
