Washington Man Wins Illinois Lottery Prize

David Davis used his lucky quarter to scratch his “Crossword” Instant Illinois Lottery ticket and won a top prize of $50,000.

Davis, who is married with two children and two grandchildren, tells lottery officials he plans to buy a new truck and invest the rest of his winnings.

Davis purchased his winning ticket at the Circle K, 2279 Washington Road in Washington. The retailer will get a one percent bonus, or $500, for selling the winning ticket.

“Crossword” is a $3 instant ticket offering 39 top prizes of $50,000. Sixteen of the $50,000 top prizes have not yet been claimed.
