Tazewell County Tornadoes Confirmed

A survey team from the National Weather Service says two tornadoes caused damage in southern Tazewell County early Tuesday morning.

The first tornado began along Wagonseller Road 5 miles southwest of Green Valley at midnight.

The EF-0 tornado caused minor damage to outbuildings and grain bins.

A second tornado, an EF-1, began in a field northeast of Delavan minutes after midnight, damaging outbuildings, grain bins and trees.

The National Weather Service says both tornadoes traveled northeast around 65 miles per hour. No injuries were reported.
