The Salvation Army in Peoria is hosting a community Thanksgiving meal Thursday.

From 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., the Corps will offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal, with holiday music, and all the trimmings.

Rich Draeger, Tri-County Director of Development for the Salvation Army, says the free meal and entertainment may be the only opportunity for some people to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving dinners will be served at the Salvation Army’s Sylvia Fites Family Service Center, located at 414 NE Jefferson in downtown Peoria.
