Police Searching For Missing Person, Runaway

Peoria Police Department

Peoria police are seeking the public’s help to find two women. One is reported as a missing person, the other as a runaway.

The plea, issued Wednesday, came a day after concerned family members complained to the City Council that police are not doing enough to solve missing person’s cases.

Alexis Scott, 20, (pictured left) was last seen around 5 a.m. Sept. 20 in the 100 block of West Richmond Avenue. Police say it was originally reported Scott was last seen wearning blue jeans with a half shirt and a pink jacket. It is now known Scott was last seen wearing light colored blue jeans, a black zip-up hoodie with pink designs and hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Scott is described as a black female, 5-foot-1, 140 pounds with brown eyes and long brown hair.

Lyric Brown, 16, (pictured right) is reported as a runaway. A statement issued by the Peoria Police Department did not provide information on the date and location where Brown was last seen.

Brown is described as a black female, 5-foot-6, 195 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Scott and Brown is urged to contact the Peoria Police Department (309-673-4521) or Crime Stoppers (309-673-9000).
