Music Mondays With Marc

Today on Music Mondays with Greg And Dan, I revealed a band I absolutely love that I don’t think any of my friends or cohorts in the music industry would ever think I love.

I grew up in a time when bands like The Ramones, Talking Heads, The Clash, U2 were happening and I absolutely would consider myself an early punk from listening to the above bands and others so obscure I’m sure no one knows who they are except me and maybe my buddy Shred. There was one band even during my time of listening to these bands and all the new bands I fell in love with moving forward I always go back to and that was The Mamas And The Papas. I totally remember hearing them on the radio driving with my grandfather hearing them on the radio and being so intrigued by not only the harmonies, but the melody, production and the lyrics. I think later on people thought of them as bubblegum but I sort of find them somewhat subversive and part of my music DNA and I’m happy to share them with you.
