Music Monday with Marc

So we’re talking songs for Halloween and the list of scary, goofy, good and bad music for Halloween is endless. I could speak and play hundreds of songs for the holiday. Here are three and one of them I consider the best and worst song ever for Halloween.

Ministry – Everyday is Halloween

This was an anthem for the goth kids in high school and college back in the 90’s.

Buck Owens – Monsters Holiday

Loved this one and was originally done by the Bobby “Boris” Pickett (who did Monster Mash) I prefer Buck’s version.

Fred Schneider – Monster

I vote this probably one of the best and worst Halloween songs ever. Fred is the front man lead singer of the 80’s band The B-52’s and this comes from his solo album. The surreal video that I believe was banned from MTV features appearances from NYC Artist Keith Haring, plus Chris Frantz and Tine Weyemouth of Talking Heads.

There are so many great Halloween songs from different music genres to get your Halloween “Spirits” just right. Here’s a few more videos for you.

Micheal Jackson – Thriller

Donavon – Season of The Witch

DJ Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince – A Nightmare On My Street

Oingo Boingo – Dead Man’s Party

Screaming Jay Hawkins – I Put A Spell On You

The Specials – Ghost Town

Happy Halloween!
