Ice Cream Bars Possibly Recalled From Local Stores

Stores in central Illinois may sell products recalled by Fieldbrook Foods Corporation because they are contaminated by Listeria.

It’s an organism that causes sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people or anyone with a weak immune system.

Healthy individuals may suffer a high fever or a short-term headache.

Listeria can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

ALDI, Dollar Tree, Kroger and Save-a-Lot all sell ice cream products from Fieldbrook Foods Corporation.

In a press release, Fieldbrook Foods Corporation says no one has made any health complaints so far.

The recalled orange cream bars, chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars and variety packs that include chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars were sold the listed merchants.
