‘Drive For Miracles’ Helps Children’s Hospital

‘The Drive’ is preparing for its 16th Radiothon benefitting OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

Alpha Media’s 93.3 ‘The Drive’ will broadcast live at the hospital this week, raising not only money, but awareness.

“We have this amazing tool that is saving the lives of our kids everyday. And we can’t ever let it want for anything,” said Morning Personality John Riley.

Riley and Co-host Nancy Flagg will take donations for ‘The Drive For Miracles’ on 93.3 ‘The Drive’ and in the main lobby of Children’s Hospital from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

‘The Drive For Miracles’ Radiothon has raised roughly $3 million for Children’s Hospital of Illinois over the past 16 years. Riley says it all stays here in Peoria.

“The money funds all kinds of things for the kids. Everything from ‘Child Life’ to new equipment.”

Riley says everyone in Peoria has been touched in some way by the hospital.

“We’re all in this together. And, we need to make sure it’s always strong. And, that’s why we give,” said Riley.

‘The Drive For Miracles’ Radiothon wraps up Children’s Hospital’s 12 Days of Giving Campaign, telling the inspiring stories of patients and the hospital staff that work each day to care for them.
