Crowd Gathering To Hear Donald Trump

The Republican presidential campaign focuses its attention on Bloomington.

GOP front runner Donald Trump has scheduled a rally at Synergy Flight Center in Bloomington at 10 a.m. Sunday. A crowd started gathering under early morning rain to wait in line to enter the facility when the doors opened at 7:30 a.m.

1470 & 100.3 WMBD has been told security surrounding the event had been significantly increased after Trump supporters and protesters clashed in Chicago Friday night, resulting in Trump canceling his scheduled appearance.

A group of protesters calling themselves “Dump Trump IL,” according to the group’s Facebook page, were planning on arriving at the event site around 9:a.m. Organizers have appealed for a peaceful demonstration.
