A Creve Coeur police officer is suspended following his DUI arrest in Peoria.

Zakary Rogy was arrested by Peoria police early Friday. Rogy also faces charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.

Creve Coeur Police Chief Dale King provided no other information in a news release announcing Rogy’s suspension, pending an outcome of an investigation.

Rogy was booked in the Peoria County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.

King says the investigation is being handled by the Creve Coeur Police Department and the Creve Coeur Fire and Police Commission.

The Fire and Police Commission will conduct a hearing to determine Rogy’s status. The hearing does not preclude any finding of guilt or innocence on the actual charges pending in Peoria County.
