With the success of the Bradley University Men’s Basketball team, the students on campus are buzzing.

“It feels good on campus. We have a team that we can really get behind,” said BU student Tommy Vannieuwenhoven.

Another student, Soren Umali said the team’s success is great for the university.

“It definitely brings more notice to our school as a whole,” Umali said.

Bradley University President Gary Roberts says he’s proud to see the students rallying behind the team.

“I think there is definitely a level of enthusiasm that is atypical,” Roberts said. “We had far more students attend the championship game on Sunday than we typically would. I think the enthusiasm is building”.

Roberts is also proud of the team’s success and what it represents for the university.

“Athletics is a great window into the university. Success in athletics gives you opportunities to tell the world about your university,” Roberts said.
