SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois as of Tuesday was one percentage point away from half of its adults being fully vaccinated.
The state Department of Public Health reported the 49,402 doses administered Monday brought the state to 49% fully vaccinated, and 65% having received at least one dose.
A total of 808 people during the reporting period tested positive for the virus. 17 died.
1.419 people as of Monday night were hospitalized because of the virus. Of those hospitalized, 350 were in intensive care, and 180 patients were on ventilators.
Labs throughout the state collected 42,841 specimens.
