PEORIA, Ill. — Bradley University has announced this year’s commencement ceremonies will be held in-person at Shea Stadium, at 1523 W. Nebraska Avenue in Peoria.
Bradley University Spokesperson Renee Charles told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show” that ceremonies will be held Friday, May 14, Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16.
Traditionally, Bradley hosts one ceremony for all of its colleges and graduate students. But, this time around, due to COVID-19 regulations, there will be several smaller ceremonies.
“We’re breaking it down into each college, plus the graduate school, and then the 2020 grads,” Charles said.
Each graduate will be allowed to bring four guests, however, the ceremonies will be live-streamed for those who can’t attend in person due to capacity limitations.
Charles said graduates and attendees will be required to wear masks, and remain in their assigned seats through the duration of the ceremonies.
Parking will be available one hour before each ceremony begins. Attendees must depart immediately after the ceremony, Charles said.
Parking spots will be available at Shea Stadium and next door in the USDA Ag Lab lot.
Overflow parking will also be available at Cornstock Theatre with shuttle service to Shea Stadium.
All ceremonies are scheduled to take place rain or shine, barring severe weather and/or any changes in local or state COVID-19 regulations.
