PEORIA, Ill. — In light of COVID-19 prevention measures, Bradley University has announced changes to its spring 2021 semester.
Provost Walter Zakahi said in a letter sent Friday afternoon to parents and students the semester will start Jan. 27, which is a week later than usual.
“The goal is to put more time between when you return home in the fall and come back to campus in January,” he said.
“It also allows you and our employees time to quarantine after any travel taken during the holiday season.”
With that change also came the announcement the scheduled March 15-19 spring break will not take place.
“The later start and the elimination of spring break should reduce the possibilities for spreading the virus,” said Zakahi. “We continue to base our decisions on science with input from health experts.”
Final exams are scheduled for the week of May 6-12.
