Peoria County Jail

Two men and a juvenile have been charged with the alleged robbery of teenager Tuesday in Peoria.

Peoria Police say Brandon Thomas, 22, of Lafayette, Indiana, and Tyrese Thomas, 19, of Peoria, were charged Wednesday with armed robbery.

A 17-year-old suspect is also charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and mob action.

The Journal Star reports the teen victim was lured to a home on N. Dechman Tuesday to meet a girl. Inside, one of the suspects displayed a gun and took his cell phone.

A single shot was fired as the victim fled the home, but he was not hit.

The 17-year-old suspect is being held at the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing next week.

Bond for Tyrese Thomas was set at $150,000 while Brandon Thomas’ bond was set at $200,000.

Both men are expected to be in court for a preliminary hearing on June 21.
