Robbery Suspect Arrested, Another Still On The Loose

One robbery suspect has been arrested, another is still on the loose.

On Monday, the Target Offender Unit with Peoria Police and a U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested 19-year-old robbery suspect Breon Fondren-Rucker. They located him in the 500 block of W. Martin Luther King Boulevard just after 1:00 p.m.

Fondren-Rucker and Derius Brady, 20, were wanted for robberies at the 3 Way Food Mart, at 708 W. Loucks on December 26, and Big Hollow Convenience Store, at 6023 N. Big Hollow Road, and Sherman Liquors, at 3801 N. Sterling in Peoria on December 29.

An arrest warrant was issued for the two suspects in connection with the robberies on Wednesday, January 4.

Upon his arrest, Fondren-Rucker was charged with an armed robbery at R&J Pawn Shop, at 1215 NE Jefferson Street, on November 29, and a business burglary at Mega Replay, in the Metro Centre at 4700 N. University, on December 29.

Police are still looking for Brady. He should not be approached, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Derius Brady is described as a black male, 6-foot tall, about 140-145 pounds, with short dread locks. He should not be approached, and is considered armed and dangerous.
