Peoria Shooting Victim Identified

A Peoria man becomes the city’s 9th gun-related homicide victim of 2015.

Peoria police say shots were fired at a car leaving the parking lot of Club Envy, 1412 Southwest Jefferson, around 2:20 a.m. Monday.

Donny Richardson, 34, of Peoria was a passenger in the car and suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Richardson was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Peoria County Coroner confirmed he died of gunshot wounds to the chest.

The driver of the car flagged down officers as they arrived at the scene responding to a ShotSpotter report.

No suspects are in custody. The investigation continues.
