Peoria Crews Respond To Fire On E. Arcadia

Peoria Firefighters were called out to the 200 block of E. Arcadia Avenue early Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to the house fire at 210 E. Arcadia around 1 a.m., finding flames coming from the rear windows and sides of the ground floor.

Firefighters knocked the fire down on the outside, then made an interior attack and had the fire out in about 10 minutes.

The home was vacant and utilities had been cut.

The fire was reported by a neighbor just before 1 a.m.

No firefighters were injured.

The vacant home was secured by the city board up crew.

A house at 206 E Arcadia suffered heat damage from the fire.

The cause of the blaze appears to be arson.

The scene was cleared just before 3:30 a.m.

Damage is estimated at $60,000. The owner of the home could not be reached.
