Peoria County Real Estate Taxes Are Due

Peoria County Treasurer Edward T. O’Conner reminds Peoria County taxpayers that the second installment of real estate taxes is due on Wednesday, September 9.

Taxes are payable at most county banks, at the City of Peoria Treasurer’s Office, by mail, by credit card via the phone or internet, by electronic check via the internet, or in person at the Peoria County Treasurer’s Office, located at the Peoria County Courthouse, 324 Main Street, Room G-15, in Peoria.

The Treasurer’s Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Payments made by mail must be postmarked on or before September 9; be sure to check the pick-up times at mail boxes to ensure an accurate postmark.

Payments postmarked after September 9 will be subject to a penalty charge.

The appropriate payment stub located on the bottom of the tax bill should accompany payments to the county, and a parcel number should be marked on checks to ensure proper credit.

Questions about tax payments can be answered by the Peoria County Treasurer’s Office at (309)672-6065.
