Peoria fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire at Childer's Banquet and Event Center on Dries Lane. Fire fighters found flames on the northeast edge of the roof and smoke coming from the roof line just after 11:00 Saturday night. There were no injuries. Twenty minutes later fire fighters were called to a house at 511 East Embert. Fire was found in the attic, believed to be caused by an electrical short. The Red Cross was called to assist two adults and four children.
