Don't be fooled by people posing as employees of Illinois American Water. Officials say someone is calling people saying they represent the company and are asking to visit them at home in the Pekin area.
Illinois American Water officials say all employees and subcontractors are required to to carry photo identification and wear company attire. Field Service Workers also drive Illinois American Water vehicles.
You are urged to call police if anyone without proper ID tries to enter your home.
