Miller Lite and March Hoops Giveaway Official Rules
CONTEST:
Beginning March 15, 2010 and running thru March 18, 2010, 1470 WMBD will conduct the Miller Lite and March Hoops … AWinning Combination Giveaway Contest. During the contest run, participants will have the opportunity to qualify to win a grand prize.
QUALIFICATION:
Mornings 5:30am to 9am during the Greg and Dan Show and afternoons 4pm to 6pm during the Scott Robbins show during the contest run, listeners will randomly be prompted to call 309-685-1470. At these times caller 9 will be selected as a qualifier and will be randomly assigned 2 teams participating in the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Team selection will be determined by a random drawing. Each qualifier will receive a t-shirt.
PRIZE SELECTION:
Prizes awarded will be determined by the outcome of the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The qualifiers assigned to the two teams playing in the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament championship game will each receive a “Championship Prize”. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the qualifier assigned to the team who wins the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament championship. In the event of one qualifier being assigned both teams in the championship game, they will be awarded one “Championship Prize” and the Grand Prize. The remaining “Championship Prize” will be awarded to one of the remaining 31 qualifiers selected by a random draw.
PRIZES:
They will also receive a $50.00 gift card to BuffaloWildWings and a duffel bag filled with 8 t-shirts, a basketball and 4 Miller Lite hats. Two of these prize packages will be awarded during this contest. The value of this prize package is approximately $270.00. The Grand Prize is an Apple Nano ipod (basketball themed) and a Magnavox Blu Ray player. One Grand Prize will be awarded during this contest. The value of this prize package is $248.99.
The “Championship Prize” is a reserved table for four at BuffaloWildWings in East Peoria or Peoria (location to be determined by 1470 WMBD staff) for the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament championship game April 5, 2010.
ODDS OF WINNING:
A total of 32 qualifiers will be selected for this contest. The odds of becoming a qualifier will vary based on the number of contest participants.
ELIGIBILITY
: Employees and immediate family members and household members of JMP Radio Group LLC, Buffalo WildWings, Miller Brewing Company, Baumgarten Distributing Company and employees of all other media outlets are not eligible to enter.
WMBD reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who is financed, aided, encouraged or prompted by an employee or family member of any radio subsidiary within 100 miles of Peoria. 1470 WMBD reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if 1470 WMBD deems the contest rules were not followed. Each person is limited to one qualification per contest. 1470 WMBD contests are void when and where prohibited by law.
PRIZES
: All prizes awarded through 1470 WMBD are non-transferable nor may a prize be substituted at the request of a contest winner, nor may a prize be substituted for cash. The prize indicated by station personnel to be won in a contest is the only prize awarded and given only to the person who is designated as the winner. 1470 WMBD reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event specified prize offered is unavailable. All prizes awarded by 1470 WMBD must be claimed within 30 days of the date the prize was won. If a winner does not claim his/her prize within the 30 day period, the prize is forfeited and eligibility restrictions mentioned in these rules still apply to that winner for future contests. All prizes designated for pick up at the 1470 WMBD studios must be picked up during regular business hours at 331 Fulton Street, Suite 1200, Peoria, Illinois.
RELEASE
1470 WMBD cannot be held liable or responsible for any telephone, cell phone, or computer failures, malfunctions or irregularities during a contest. 1470 WMBD is not liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information. On-line listeners may experience a delay from the over the air broadcast. The decision of the judge is final.
: 1470WMBD and / or sponsor participating in a contest on 1470 WMBD may require a release form to be completed by the winner. Upon accepting any contest prize from 1470WMBD or sponsor participating in a contest on 1470 WMBD, winner releases 1470 WMBD and any and all sponsors of any liability or further claims. 1470 WMBD may use voice recordings to prevent contest fraud.

IDENTIFICATION
: In order for a winner to claim a prize, 1470 WMBD requires picture identification. 1470 WMBD may require any or all of the following: driver’s license, state ID, passport and / or birth certificate. 1470 WMBD reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. 1470 WMBD requires a contestant to truthfully respond with all pertinent information it deems necessary for station records including but not restricted to legal name, address, telephone number, birth date and social security number. 1470 WMBD may disqualify a contestant immediately upon learning the contestant has responded with falseinformation.
CHANGE
: With regard to this or any of its other contests, 1470 WMBD, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to 1) change the applicable rules and/or procedures, and 2) change the applicable dates and/or duration. In the event of any dispute pertaining to this contest, the decision of 1470 WMBD management is final.
