Report:Blues and Civic Center sign 5-year lease

The Peoria Rivermen will stay in the Civic Center and be an AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues another five years. The Journal Star is reporting a five year lease agreement has been reached between the Blues and the Peoria Civic Center to keep the Rivermen playing under the Blues umbrella. A news conference is scheduled this afternoon to officially announce the agreement. The report claims the Rivermen will be awarded auxiliary space in Carver Arena to expand its offices while the Civic Center is looking toward purchasing a new $1-million arena scoreboard.
