A Roanoke man is dead after being hit by a vehicle when leaving the village's fireworks show Friday night. Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says 60 year old Steven Hodel was pronounced dead in the emergency room at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center about 10:45pm.

She says a car driven by Ruby Kennel hit Hodel and three others as they were leaving the fireworks show about 9:20pm in the 100 block of Broad Street. Ingersoll says an autopsy shows Hodel died of multiple injuries, including crushing injuries to his chest and pelvis. The condition of the others injured has not been released.

Woodford County deputies are not expected to release additional information until Monday. Tickets may be issued pending further investigation.
