The co-host of 1470 WMBD’s afternoon talk show was arrested this weekend for allegedly punching another man at a local bar early Saturday morning. 45 year old Phil Luciano of Morton was taken into custody about 1:30 Saturday in the 1900 block of West Alice.

Peoria County deputies’ report Luciano complied with a request for him to leave the Owl’s Nest on West Callender after he was reportedly causing trouble, but a 36 year old Pekin man says he then came back in and punched him and tore his shirt. The man claims Luciano was then escorted from the establishment, but returned through a different entrance and tried to punch him again. The male victim and a female who was sitting nearby both told officers the second punch missed and Luciano hit the woman instead.

Luciano was located by deputies a short time later and taken into custody for two counts of battery, criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Peoria County jail where he posted bond and was released. Luciano is the co-host of the Markley and Luciano Show on 1470 WMBD.
