"It's another move-in day filled with excitement, energy and optimism here on The Hilltop", said Bradley University President Joanne Glasser as we caught up with her outside University Hall Saturday morning.
More than 700 students representing BU Fraternities and Sororities were on hand to greet parents as they dropped of their freshman students. The volunteers then quickly carried the new student's belongings up to their dorms where they'll be living for the next nine months or so.
"We couldn't be more pleased to welcome more than 1,200 new and returning students back into the residence halls," said Glasser.
"It never gets dull, there are no two (move-in days) that are alike." "I just look at the smiles on their faces, and the excitement as they begin this new chapter in their lives."
And quite possibly the best thing about being surrounded by bright eyed, energetic college kids, "It keeps me young," said Glasser.
