Peoria Shooting Suspect Arrested

Peoria Police have arrested a man wanted for Wednesday night's shooting at Griswold Liquors.

Police believe Javon Walker, 21, shot a man at Griswold Liquors, at 1814 South Griswold, Wednesday night.

Police went to the business a little after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of shots fired, but didn't find any victims. A little while later, a man showed up at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say Walker was found Thursday night at 2322 W. Millan and was taken into custody without incident. Walker has been booked in the Peoria County Jail on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and no FOID card.
