Fourth Applicant For D150 Board Seat

And now there are four.

A fourth applicant has stepped forward for the vacant District 150 school board seat.

Melvin McCaw joins Nancy Overcash, Dan Adler and Jeff Lickiss as confirmed candidates.

According to his facebook page, McCaw is retired after working at Northwoods Community Church and Federal Warehouse.

Overcash is a former Morton Dist. 709 board member. Adler, Change150's recommendation to the board, is a former Peoria City Council Candidate. Lickiss is a former Peoria County Board member and ran in 2010 for the District 150 school board seat now occupied by Chris Crawford.

The applicants are vying for the District 3 board seat vacated July 1 when newly-elected Sue Wolstenholm resigned immediately after being sworn in.

The school board is accepting letters of interest and resumes through Noon Friday before beginning the process of interviewing applicants.

Potential candidates are required to live within Peoria Public Schools' District 3 boundaries, which is primarily north of Forrest Hill Avenue.
