State Aid Headed To Washington

The City of Washington and other tornado-ravaged towns in Illinois will get the state funding they've been promised by the end of the month.

"It could certainly happen sooner, but that's the "no later than" time for the state assistance", said Illinois Emergency Management Agency Director Jonathon Monken.

26 applications for state assistance were processed by IEMA last week.

Washington will get a portion of $45 million in state aid.

The November 17th tornado did an estimated $24 million damage to Washington city property.
