Homeless Teen Nabbed for Burger Shop Hold-up

East Peoria police have arrested a homeless teen for allegedly holding up a local fast food restaurant.

Dominique Johnson, 18, was arrested a little before noon Friday.

Police believe he robbed Culver's in East Peoria late Thursday night.

Police say Johnson, armed with a handgun, ordered everyone in the restaurant to get down on the floor before an employee took him to a back office and handed over some cash.

Officers tried to track the robbery suspect as he walked across the Bob Michel bridge, neither East Peoria nor Peoria police found him at the time.

Johnson remains held in the Tazewell County Jail.
