Splashdown At Santa Fe Park!

Looking for something to do with the kids on a hot day?

Chillicothe's Santa Fe Park has loads of water features for the kids to play in all summer...and it's free!

Kids can splash around the dump buckets, water cannons, or the fountains that spring up out of the ground.

The splash pad is self-serve.

"If the water has stopped, all kids have to do is touch a button on the railroad crossing signs, and it starts up again, lasting about 4 minutes", said Mike Krost, Chillicothe Park District President.

The splash pad at Santa Fe Park stays open as long as it stays warm, since there's no need for staff.

The park also features a bridge, playground equipment, bathrooms, and picnic area.

It's located at 1400 N. Benedict Street.
