A winter storm warning remains in effect until 6PM tonight.
Snow has moved back into the area and will continue through the rest of the afternoon. An additional 2-4 inches is expected to bring totals close the 6-7 inches form a line north of Canton to Peoria to El Paso. So far Peoria has 5.3" and Pekin clocks in at 6.4 since the snow fall began yesterday.
David Haste of the City of Peoria's Street Department says
city crews will begin plowing residential streets at noon today.
Primary snow routes are plowed, traffic is moving at below normal speed on most primary streets. We can expect periods of light snow mixed with sleet this afternoon, precipitation should end by early evening.
Residential plowing will be completed in 15 to 18 hours.
