The new Fondulac District Library in East Peoria is trying something new to lure kids in.
"We have four gaming stations available to kids of all ages," said Reference Assistant Laura Warren. "Libraries are becoming more like community centers, not the quiet reading places you used to know."
The library kicked off its gaming program Saturday with its first ever Super Game Day, where even classic video game systems like Atari were set up.
The new program already has 10 year old Emily smiling.
"I think its a really good idea to invite people over and let everyone play video games," she said.
On a typical day, the library has four gaming systems available, Playstations 3 and 4, and two Wii's.
Several board games and role playing games are also available.
