NHL Alumni 'Skate Strong' For Tornado Relief
Some old school hockey is taking to the ice at the Peoria Civic Center.
Alumni from the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues are playing a game tonight to raise money for tornado relief. Some of the players include Troy Murray, Grant Mulvey, and Hall of Famer Denis Savard.
It's not just a throwback game to look forward to, though. Event organizer Dennis Cyr says auctions and drawings will give people a chance to walk home with a piece of hockey history.
"We've got alumni jerseys, we've got an autographed Duncan Keith jersey from Chicago, some sticks, and an original team picture of the 'miracle on ice,'" said Cyr, who listed just a few of the items available.
$10 is all you need to get in, the doors open at 6:00 and the game starts at 7:00.
