East Peoria High School's former varsity football coach is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the school.
Douglas Martin, 35, was arrested Thursday on a charge of felony theft.
He allegedly misappropriated $33,000 in football accounts; money raised through fundraisers and community donations.
The school says it noticed the discrepancy while performing an audit back in April.
A six month investigation followed, leading to Martin's arrest Thursday.
He's being held at The Tazewell County Jail.
