Three suspects face federal counts of what's called, interference of commerce by robbery, following a Washington convenience store robbery last July.
Indicted are 24 year old Lucious Turntine of Peoria, 23 year old Todd Lawson, no known address, and 21 year old Whitney Graham of East Peoria.
The trio was arrested for the armed robbery of Casey's in Washington.
Washington Police Chief Jim Kuchenbecker says it was decided to prosecute the case federally, because crimes of violence like this will not be tolerated.
Graham apparently knew the combination to the store safe. She allegedly drove the men to the shop. Turntine and Lawson held the clerk at gunpoint while opening the safe and taking money, according to the indictment.
Each of the suspects feces 10 to life in prison, if they are convicted.
