Report: County Sets Deadline For Museum Audit

The Peoria Riverfront Museum has not provided financial information to Peoria County, as outlined by the contract between the two sides.

The County is basically the landlord for the museum thanks to the one percent sales tax that is being used to pay for it.

The Journal Star reports the County has sent museum CEO Jim Richerson an e-mail giving him a deadline of Thursday to pass along the information.

The museum is required to report yearly to the county and meet financial milestones.

Richerson is quoted as saying the museum's 2012 audit is more complex than usual and still being completed.
