It's still unclear if the assassinations of a Texas District Attorney, his wife, and an A.D.A. were retaliation, but the murders are making a local prosecutor mix up his routine, and keep his eyes on a calendar.
Tazewell County State's Attorney Stu Umholtz has put away some bad people over the years, so is he worried about retaliation?
"Well, let's just say I'm very cautious about a few individuals, and I keep an eye on their parole dates," said Umholtz.
He says one of the worst things a prosecutor can do, is fall into a routine, making it easier for someone to retaliate, and he says he's already spoken with his staff on mixing things up.
His office is joining hundreds across the country in wearing a black ribbon Thursday and Friday in tribute to the victims.
