A Mossville teacher accused of having sexual contact with a 16-year boy has resigned.
The Chillicothe Times-Bulletin reports the IVC school board accepted the resignation of Kayla Trueblood, 22, earlier this month.
Trueblood was a part-time gifted education teacher at Mossville Junior High and Elementary School. She also coached the scholastic bowl team.
Trueblood was arrested December 3rd on a charge of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and later released on $15,000 bond. As part of the bond, she cannot have contact with the boy or his family.
A preliminary hearing is set for next Thursday. If convicted, Trueblood could face up to seven years in prison or four years probation.
