Invited guests got better feel of how the 80,000 square foot Peoria Riverfront Museum will be laid out, getting a close look-see at the project from the inside the walls Monday. Lakeview President and CEO Jim Richerson conducted the tour. Richerson gave an good idea of what will go where. The walls of the various sections of museum are being put up now.
Richerson says 60 percent of the project is complete. But, he fell short of putting a hex on the fast work that has resulted in keeping the project on time and within budget so far. When the project is done in October, 300 trades people will have worked on the museum at one time or another. The museum and the adjoining CAT visitors center will bring the project total to between $140 to $150 million dollars.
