Peoria native and Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood updates the situation involving his son Sam during a funtion in Michigan Saturday night. The Obama Administration continues to urge Egypt to lift travel restrictions on several U-S citizens, one of them Sam LaHood, to take them off a "No Fly" list and let them leave the country.
Ray LaHood tells reporters Saturday night, negotiations are underway. The Secretary says the National Security Team is working very hard so Sam can leave Egypt. LaHoood talked about the situation at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Sam LaHood serves as Director of the Egyptian Program for the International Republican Institute.
