A home invasion early Friday morning results in a shooting. Peoria Police say one person was hit at a home in the 1500 block of Smith Street about 12:45am after three men entered the house and fired several shots.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a bullet wound to the abdomen. The severity of the injury has not been released.
