Another of the elements of the Obama Administration's healthcare plan, will likely be repealed next week. 18th District Congressman Aaron Schock says he has co-sponsored legislation to eliminate the CLASS program, was approved by the Ways and Means Committee, which he sits on.
Schock says the CLASS provision was put into the place to provide for the elderly and seriously sick. Schock says under terms of the deal, every American would pay on average, $123 dollars monthly into the program. And, in theory it would come back to help them if they needed assisted living or nursing home care.
Schock says everyone realizes now the numbers don't add up. Schock thinks both the House and Senate will OK the repeal is session next week. Schock says the Department of Health and Human Services suspended the program's implementation in October.
