If you have missed an historic Main Street fast food staple, you'll be glad to know it's coming back. Mr. G's Chicago Style Restaurant is project to re-open this Spring under a new owner with a successful food track record.
One World Cafe owner Bob Eid confirms to the Journal Star he has acquired the build and business. Eid says plans are to offer most of the same menu items which drew customers to the reataurant since it originally opened in 1990. Eid says the building will go through an extensive re-modeling before he opens the doors.
The eatery was famous for it's Vienna All Beef Chicago Style hot dogs. Besides operating One World just up the street on Main and University,
Eid and his bothers also own the restaurant 2-2-5 in the Mark Twain Hotel and Packard Plaza next to it. Eid hopes to have Mr G's all ready by sometime in April.
